The goal of the website was for potential clients to quickly and easily learn about Crossborder Tax Services and be compelled to get in touch with them without any friction. The website refresh provides a simple and intuitive experience for users to reach out to Crossborder Tax.

Challenge
& Objective

I broke down the process for the website redesign into 3 phases and then brought individual tasks into Notion to keep track of the different phases of the project.

Planning & Management

To reinforce the main objective of the website, it was important to have multiple paths and CTA’s leading to the submission form, as well as information about Crossborder Tax to compel users to use want to get in touch.

A Flow With a Goal

Website Art Direction

The website aims to project a sense of trustworthiness and expertise in Canadian/American taxation while maintaining a professional yet approachable vibe. To achieve this, we've blended traditional and casual design elements.

Our choice of a neutral color palette, along with carefully selected imagery, strikes a balance between formality and warmth. Additionally, we've opted for a mix of serif and sans-serif fonts in headers and body text to further enhance this blend of professionalism and approachability.

Conclusion

Redesigning the CrossborderTax.com website taught me the importance of creating a design system that reflects the brand's identity. I gained experience in enhancing the user-experience and ensuring compatibility across different browsers. Additionally, the iterative process of testing and incorporating feedback proved crucial in refining both the site's functionality and visual appeal.
